Somaliland:Muslims around the world celebrate Eid Al-Adha, President Silanyo Sents Congratulatory Message (Photos)

Slnnews-The President Republic of Somaliland H.E Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo on Monday joined the prayer of Eid Al-Adha with thousands of prayer performers at the Grand Mosque of Hargeisa in the capital city of Somaliland.

Wishes of good tidings are extended all Muslims worldwide. The President H.E Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo Sents Congratulatory Muslims and more specifically citizens of Somaliland wherever they on this auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Adha The President said, “on my own behalf, that of various national councils, and the citizens of this country, hereby congratulate all Muslims and specifically Somalilanders wherever they during this auspicious Eid Al-Adha celebrations.”

Muslims worldwide are celebrating Eid Al-Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice), culminating the annual migration of millions of Muslims to Hajj.

The Hajj pilgrimage is one of the five main pillars of Islam and must be performed at least once by every able-bodied Muslim.

The holiday which marks Ibrahim’s (Abraham) willingness to sacrifice his son for the sake of god, is celebrated by the sacrifice of a large number of animals including sheep, cows, camels and goats to be donated to the less fortunate.
